We collect NO personal information. LinkBack is designed to work entirely offline
without collecting any user data including but not limited to:
- Personal identification information
- Photos or videos
- Device information
- Usage analytics
- Location data
- Any other personal data
2. How We Use Information
Since we don't collect any information, we don't use any personal data. All operations are performed
locally on your device:
- Local Processing Only: All camera operations, photo/video processing, and file management happen on your device
- No Cloud Storage: Data is never uploaded to any servers
- No Analytics: We don't track app usage or user behavior
- No Advertisements: We don't collect data for advertising purposes
3. App Permissions Explained
LinkBack requires certain permissions to function properly. Here's what each permission is used for:
Camera Access (CAMERA)
Used to access and control USB camera devices, take photos and record videos. All camera operations are performed locally on your device.
Media Files Access (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE)
Used to save photos and videos captured by the camera, and to access media files for photo sync functionality. All files remain on your device.
Storage Access (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE)
Used to manage files on your device, USB drives, and SD cards. Required for file browsing, copying, and moving operations.
USB Permissions (USB_PERMISSION, hardware.usb.host)
Used to connect and communicate with USB camera devices and USB storage devices for camera control and file transfer.
Bluetooth Permissions (BLUETOOTH, BLUETOOTH_ADMIN, BLUETOOTH_SCAN, BLUETOOTH_CONNECT)
Used to discover and connect to Bluetooth camera devices for wireless camera control.
Location Access (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION)
Required for Bluetooth device discovery on Android 12+. Also used to add location metadata to photos if enabled. Location data is only stored locally in photo EXIF data.
Foreground Service
Used to ensure photo/video transfer and file sync operations continue running in the background when transferring large files.
4. Data Security

- No Transmission: No data is sent to external servers
- User Control: You have complete control over your data
